ROLE: Wardrobe Mistress

SHOW: Giovanni Pernice - Dance is Life

I worked on the show as the Wardrobe Mistress my main roles were to prepare the costumes, wash, iron, and hang them up ready for the show. I would then help with the costume changes during the show, then I would pack the costumes away along with the accessories making sure I had everything. I would then help pack up the set and load it onto the van. It was such an amazing experience, and it taught me a lot about how a show works as well as giving me the confidence to work on my own and to find myself whilst working with such a large company. I loved every minute of it!

The Actor's Wheel

Role: Wardrobe Assistant

Show: King Lear

My main role for this show was to make a pair of red overalls for the character Gonerill. As part of this we each got to join one of the shows and go on tour with the company.

Main Roles:

- Pack/unpack costumes

- Prepare the costumes

- Help the actor's dress and get ready

- Help with quick changes

- Deal with any repairs or touch-ups

- Make sure all the costumes were in the box ready to be taken to the next show

On this work experience it really helped me to be prepared for what I would need to do for my work experience for Strictly.
